02/03/12 1759 hours

US Marines’ fans and snipers have been longing for this one for quite some time. Finally a decent company makes a serious replica of the M40A3, wich is a modern version of the M40 sniper rifle, as used by the USMC snipers, police sharpshooters and other cool guys.

Black Bear Flash Magazines

02/02/12 2352 hours

If there’s one thing that sucks about Hi-cap magazines, it’s the the constant need to turn that stupid wheel in order to reload the spring and make the mag feed again.

Well Black Bear is going to put an end to that with their new Flash Magazines: a few quick pulls on the string that’s hidden in the bottom of the mag and you are good to go. No more dry firing because no BBs are coming up, no more revealing your position with that supd Hi-cap noise.

So far, there’s an AK magazine, one for the M4/M16 family and one for G36s.

Airsoft mortars

02/01/12 1832 hours

The use of mortars or grenades (not BB showers) in airsoft is obviously a complicated matter, so Im not even going to begin try to convinve one side or the other that they are safe or unsafe. Im just gonna post the video.

Have a look and decide for yourself if this has a future in the airsoft world.

ICS M1 Garand AEG

01/29/12 1847 hours

Almost seven years (7!) has it taken airsoft companies to take Marui’s M14 (which, in the real stell version is a development of the Garand) and make an AEG (this means: actually useful in a game).

This is supposed to come out in june, so I hope it wont take Cyma long to clone it.

Ares Beryl 96

01/26/12 1721 hours

Judging by the pics, this AEg must be just around the corner: they have the box and everything!

For those who dont know, the Beryl is a modern polish version of the AK concept, with a distinct folding stock, sights, flash hider andrail compatible with western optics.
The Polish are so confident about this gun, that even their special forces in Iraq use it.

Below are some pics od the real steel; go to this link to see Ares’ version of it:

Socomgear Timberwolf

01/26/12 0328 hours

To some this may seem like pimped out Glock. To others… well, I think we all know this is just a rip-off of a Glock, but it’s still a very cool gun. And Socomgear is a very cool company for making replicas of not so well known guns, something other brands could learn something off of.

Ultimate SEAL movie coming soon

01/25/12 0222 hours

How many movies do include, be it as protagonists or as side characters, Navy SEALs? Too many bad ones.
But how many actually employed real SEAL operators as movie advisors or even to ACT in the movie, as themselves? Just this one, as far as I know.

Act of Valor is an upcoming 2012 American war film directed by Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh, and written by Kurt Johnstad. It stars Alex Veadov, Rosalyn Sanchez, Nestor Serrano, Emilio Rivera and actual active duty U.S. Navy SEALs. The film is scheduled to be released on February 24, 2012.

It’s not just a great blockbuster movie: if you are into realism (seldomly present in Hollywood movies), authentic gear, not over the top guns, real tactics, this movie is gonna blow you away.

PP-19 Bizon AEG coming soon!

01/23/12 1944 hours

Silverback Airsoft, until now just a manufacturer of small accesories, is bringing out the first airsoft Bizon AEG.

The Bizon is a 9mm SMG with a helical magazine (the tube you see under the forearm), mainly designed for urban combat in Chechnya and russian police forces in the mid 1990′s.

I believe the unique design will attract both russian-weapons fans and non.conoisseurs, alike.

FULL STEEL ! No Zinc Alloy Parts !
-V3 gearbox, 7mm ball bearing
-Nylon fiber Midcap Magazine, 160 Rds
-Skeleton steel Stock
-realistic side rail size, fits real Russian optics

A&K PKM and AMD-65

01/20/12 0512 hours

Finally, the Gods of airsoft have listened to my prayers: A&K are making a full size PKM, which is the soviet (and taleban) equivalent of the M240, a mid-wheight machinegun.
As you can see in the video below, this will probably come out first as an Echo-1 gun, but the real manufacturer is A&K and, just as with the RPK made by Cyma, it will soon be available as A&K at ACMgear.com for a much cheaper price.

Also in the video, an AMD-65. This one is made either by Cyma or Dboys/Kalash.
