Katy Perry USMC Music Video
Katy Perry, the 27-year old American singer released a new music video for her newest song called “Part of Me”. For that video, Katy Perry joined the United States Marine Corps for a three-day boot camp, eating MRE’s and fighting underwater. You may not like the music, but you sure want to see girls in uniform.
With the G96 gas sniper G&G presented another innovation at the IWA 2012. Not only does it use shells but it also features a new recoil system similar to that of a GBB. When the trigger is pulled, the inflowing gas is split up into two routes, one to propel the BB forwards, and another route to slam a recoil weight backwards.
There will be a CO2 version with capsules, which are inserted into the back of the stock, as well as a Green Gas version, where the gas reservoir is built into the stock in front of where the magazine would be. Only the CO2 version has a magazine though, the latter one is loaded from the top. Both have a capacity of five shells. The muzzle velocity will be around 400 fps for the Green Gas variant and 500 fps for the CO2 one.
The model in the pictures is actually a M700 but we were told this was only a prototype and the final version will have a L96 stock like their previous G96 model. Technically the model shown in their video is still not a L96 though, but a M700 AICS (Accuracy International Chassis System)[1]. In the video you can see how the recoil mechanism works:
G&G M1 Garand
G&G had many new products to present at the IWA 2012, one of them being a M1 Garand AEG with a real wood stock. This is now the second AEG version of a M1 after ICS already announced one earlier. The G&G Garand uses magazines with a capacity of 20 rounds, of which two will already be incuded with the gun.
Snow Wolf M41A coming soon!
I just realized some you are too young to recognize this gun: the M41A is the gun used since the beginniing of the Alien movie saga.
The interesting thing is that the guns used in the movie were actually M1 Thompson guns in desguise, really. The director wanted a fast shooting (blanks) gun with a lot of muzzle flash, so they used a Tommy with short mags and covered it up.
If you wanted to have this in airsoft, for years you had no other option but to shell out 352$ for a G&P conversion kit, plus 250$ for the Marui Thompson. I hope Snow Wolf’s complete AEG wont go for more than 150$, maybe cheaper.
BTW: the “real” gun had an electronic ammo counter, which theyll probably keep, and a grenade launcher, which in the airsoft version was a tri-barrel shotgun, which wasnt as useful, but super fun to use.
